REAL ESTATE

My real estate work (and all of the harmful things I saw) is what started my journey toward becoming an advocate for more housing in order to protect and revitalize existing communities. There is so much misinformation and fear surrounding this issue, it’s crushing us all. I’ve compiled a host of data on this incredibly important issue here.

Over 11 years, I worked primarily on new developments with $3+ million annual rent rolls and gut renovated prewar buildings. In addition to apartment leasing, I was responsible for weekly vacancy and showing reports, quarterly comparable reporting, general marketing strategy, and orienting new agents to buildings and protocols, in addition to facilitating workflows between management and ownership, and day to day troubleshooting with tenants.

Leasing highlights include:
223 North 8th Street– 90-unit new development in Williamsburg. Original Lease Up Winter 2016, 100% occupancy in one year. Releasing 2017, 2018.
60 Duffield Street– 70-unit new development located above boutique hotel in Downtown Brooklyn. Original Lease Up Spring 2015. 98% occupancy in one year.
